How to use Overcore barrel inserts

Most players get the greatest consistency gains from the widest range of paint sizes using the orange bands.

We've included green and blue bands for the tinkerers who want to squeeze the most performance from their Overcore barrel inserts.

  1. Install Attachments

First slide on both orange bands, then slide all 6 polymer attachments into their slots.

  2. Use PBSizer

Open the PBSizer link and use with any paintball sizer to see the recommended insert size.

  3. Install Overcore Insert

Thread your preferred insert onto the Overcore tip. Place your Overcore insert into your Lone barrel and you're done!

What People Are Saying

The primary design goal for the Overcore insert was to increase shot consistency, no matter the grade or size of paint you’re shooting. Then keep that consistency throughout the day – set it and forget it. EASY.

  • Will the Overcore insert increase my shot consistency with rec paint too?

Actually, you may notice greater consistency gains while using rec paint compared to tournament grade paint. Because rec paint is typically less accurate than tournament grade paint to begin with.

  • What are the different color bands for?

Overcore inserts include 3 types of bands:

    Type Size Durometer
    Light (orange) 017 70A
    Medium (green) 016 70A
    Heavy (blue) 015 50A

Smaller size bands cause the polymer attachments to contact the paint more firmly.

Lower durometer bands are softer and cause the polymer attachments to have a more springy response.

  • Will the Overcore insert shoot brittle paint?

Of course! It’s designed to be even more gentle than traditional inserts because of its ability to flex and conform to the unique shape of each paintball.

  • Will the Overcore insert really shoot any size paint?

Yes! The polymer attachments flex to allow each Overcore insert to automatically adapt to any .68 caliber paint size ranging from .675″ to .695″.
